Father Tom enrols into Mothers’ Union

A wonderful Evening Eucharist was held on Monday 5^th September in the Caerphilly St. Martin’s Branch when we were thrilled to enrol four new members into our Mothers’ Union branch.  Judith Davies, Father Tom and Jean Starr becoming new members and Bron Parish who has transferred from the Henbury branch in Bristol.

Father Thomas Bates, our new Assistant Curate in the Benefice of Eglwysilan and Caerphilly, was eager to become a MU member, having stayed at Mary Sumner House as a young boy during summer holidays with his family; he is fully aware and supportive of the work of Mothers’ Union.  Father Tom was ordained priest in 2015 and we are overjoyed that he has become part of the Benefice clergy team and a branch member.
