Launch of the new issue of Labelled For Life at Westminster Hall, 14th November 2016

Sheila Jones, a member of the Faith & Policy Committee at Mary Sumner House and Louise Barham, Social Policy Contact for Llandaff Mothers’ Union were invited to the launch of the 2nd edition of Labelled for Life on Monday, 14th November 2016.  The launch  was hosted by Fiona Bruce MP in the Jubilee Room at Westminster Hall. Four essays were read at the event and Sheila was asked to read “The Response of the Church to the Commercialisation of Childhood” essay.

About 50 people were present including MU members from All Ireland, Yorkshire, Plymouth, Rochester, Southwark and of course Llandaff. Fiona Bruce asked everyone to contact their MPs to give them a copy of the new leaflet and to ask them to support our campaign to stop the commercialisation of childhood.
